As a number one priority at ÇàÇà²Ýapp State, health and safety comes in many different forms and services. We are also a tobacco and smoke free campus as of September 1, 2020.

Counseling and Psychological Services
CAPS is our counseling center on campus and provides free personal counseling and psychological services for ÇàÇà²Ýapp State ÇàÇà²Ýapp, as well as referrals and consultations for faculty and staff.
Health Promotion
From meditation to safer sex supplies, the Office of Health Promotion provides a variety of services to create a healthy campus community including support for student success.
Student Health Center
The Student Health Center (SHC) is a comprehensive outpatient health care facility serving all registered ÇàÇà²Ýapp State ÇàÇà²Ýapp. The department functions in the same manner as a private medical office. Care is provided by master’s prepared Nurse Practitioners (Advanced Practice Nurses), Registered Nurses and collaborating physicians from Mountainside Family Practice Associates.
University Police
The ÇàÇà²Ýapp State University Police Department is an autonomous, fully certified and operational law enforcement agency that serves New Jersey’s second largest and fastest growing university. The ÇàÇà²Ýapp State University PD is charged with the enforcement of all state and local laws, as well as university rules and regulations. The ÇàÇà²Ýapp State University PD is also responsible for the implementation of programs and services designed to promote public safety, crime prevention and community awareness.
