Step 1
Set Up Your NetID

Go to the website, enter your University NetID and accept the ÇàÇà²Ýapp State University IT Policies and Procedures.

Hint: Your NetID is your last name, first initial and a number: i.e. smitha1. This is the ID you will use to access the majority of systems and online services on campus. You can locate your NetID in your

Step 2
Register in Nest

with your University NetID and password.

  • When you first log into any of ÇàÇà²Ýapp’s systems that use your NetID, you will be prompted to activate your MFA (Multi Factor Authentication). For more information on how to do this, review the MFA Quick Reference Guide.
  • Once you log in, please click, Register for Classes in the upper-right corner of your page.
  • Under the heading Registration Tools, select Register for classes/ add or drop.
  • Enter the term for registration, then click continue.
  • Click on Enter CRN and input the 5 digit code listed on the.

Step 3
Check Your ÇàÇà²Ýapp Email
  • Access your ÇàÇà²Ýapp email account at and enter your NetID. You will use the password you created when setting up your NetID.
    Hint: Your email address is in the format, NetID@montclair.edu.
Step 4
Access Your Course in Canvas

Canvas

Our online programs provide ÇàÇà²Ýapp with the flexibility and convenience of attending an online class anytime, from anywhere. Courses are conducted in Canvas, an accessible learning management system.
